The Myton Hospices
Squab’s nominated charity for 2017/18 is The Myton Hospices and throughout the year, we will be taking part in many fundraising initiatives. We hope you will support us in raising money for this life-enhancing service in our community.
The Myton Hospices have been providing patient care for 35 years and in the last 12 months have supported more than 1,400 people and their families across Coventry and Warwickshire, via their three hospices, patient and family support services and in the community through Myton at Home. The range of services available often surprises people and we want to get across just how much this inspirational charity does.
There are three hospices, located in Coventry, Warwick and Rugby, all of which serve as day hospices, while Coventry and Warwick also have inpatient units. This is supported by a teams of trained healthcare professionals and volunteers. Myton at Home service is available in Leamington, Warwick and Rugby and provides 24/7 care and support to patients and their loved ones at home. Further patient support includes complimentary therapy, lymphoedema services and spiritual care.
Family support is available for all ages, including their ‘Rainbow Ripples’ service which offers direct or indirect support for children and ‘Myteens’ – a support group for teenagers.
All of Myton’s services are provided free of charge and it is only with the help of the local community and businesses that they are able to continue to care for people at one of the most difficult times of their life.
That is why Squab wants to help! We will be rallying the support of our customers, colleagues and suppliers. For example, we are asking anyone who moves with Squab to make an optional £2 donation. Of course, we will be organising and participating in all sorts of fundraising activities throughout the year, so please watch this space and follow our news.
