Chris Cheslin Replaces Removals with Cricket Down Under

Chris Cheslin has been a valued member of the Squab Removals team for four-plus years, popular with customers and colleagues alike.

But now, he’s hung up his black and orange uniform and replaced it with cricket whites.

A keen cricketer (sportsman, in fact – also a keen boxer), he’s taken a six-month sabbatical to go and follow his dream, taking up the opportunity of a lifetime.

Chris, who usually plays for Birmingham Premier League club Knowle & Dorridge (with the nickname ‘Chez Shire’!), has been signed with Australian cricket club, Dennington, as part of the 2018-19 Warrnambool and District Association season. The season started earlier this month and finishes in March 2019. What an opportunity!

That also means he gets to enjoy the Australian summer while we head into colder and darker days. Jealous?! Us?

Chris has been interviewed by Australian news site ‘The Standard’, talking about his expectations for the season ahead and his plans while visiting Australia – take a look at the video.

With 26 wickets under his belt last season, it seems there’s little that can get in the way of our all-rounder.

Good luck Chris! We’re behind you every bat/bowl of the way.

Here’s the season fixture.
