Last month, we shared the news we’d been named Domestic Mover of the Year (DMotY) Finalist. Well, we’re excited to tell you…we won! (Can someone pinch us, please?!)
This is the second year in a row we’ve been named Domestic Mover of the Year and only the third year we’ve entered the prestigious competition, organised and judged by the BAR (British Association of Removers).
The awards took place in Bournemouth, as part of the annual BAR conference and all was revealed on Saturday 19th May. Squab Director, Emlyn Evans and colleagues, James Bolitho, Kerry Allsop and Sally Van Hoorebeek were there to collect the award – big smiles all round, as you can see!
“We didn’t expect to make it to the final three, let alone win the overall title for a second year! To win the award back-to-back is a big achievement and hasn’t been done many times before. It’s a real reflection on what our customers have said about us as well as the team’s hard work, both in the office and out on the road. We’re honoured to be recognised in this way again and look forward to continuing to provide our customers with the best possible moving experience.”
While the details of the judging aren’t fully disclosed, the process involves a number of stages and assessments with a key focus on customer service. As the BAR state:
“A big well done to all for clearly being at the top of their game in terms of service delivery and the customer experience.”
We’re looking forward to another year proudly wearing the DMotY badge (look out for it on our website and beyond!) and can’t wait to see what the year ahead brings.
Congratulations to all the finalists and winners and thank you to the BAR for hosting the conference. We’re sharing a couple of photos from the awards evening, courtesy of the BAR. For the full gallery of images, take a look at the BAR website.
