It has been another record breaking year for The Myton Hospices Cycle Challenge, with over £41,000 raised already and more still to come!
Squab Group’s nominated charity for 2018/19, is The Myton Hospices and so we were delighted to sponsor the Cycle Challenge this summer, an event which seems to increase in popularity every year.
Taking place on Sunday 4th August, this year’s Cycle Challenge attracted over 500 supporters who participated across a number of different routes. With the weather behaving itself and not a rain cloud in sight, an additional 90 people signed up on the day.
This year’s routes consisted of the ever popular 50km and 100km, as well as the return of the 100 mile ‘ultimate route’! Whether they opted for the 50km route, or thought it would be fun to cycle 100 miles, all entrants were treated to beautiful views around Warwickshire and the Cotswolds.
This event would not have been possible without The Myton Hospices team of amazing volunteers, who worked so hard throughout the day, from marshalling the route to manning the refreshment stops and serving up the BBQ at the finish.
Congratulations to everybody involved in making this event such a success and for raising such a significant amount for this fantastic cause!
We are still coming down from the buzz of our most popular Cycle Challenge ever and wanted to share with you this short video from the day! A huge thank you to everyone who made it possible and has helped raised over £41,000 already! Keep your eyes peeled for next week when we upload our photos also 📸📸📸
