Squab Storage Daventry named as SSA UK Awards Finalists

Once a year, the Self Storage Association (SSA) UK unites the storage industry under one roof to highlight and celebrate the achievements of their members at the SSA UK Awards.

The prestigious awards are open to all 370-plus members so it’s stiff competition…which is why we’re happy to share the news that your local, Squab Daventry storage facility has been shortlisted as a finalist in the category of ‘Best Facility – Independent Operator’.

Emlyn Evans, Director, commented:

“Squab Daventry first opened its doors in 2015. The second of the Squab storage sites, Daventry was a new area for us with plenty of unknowns. But through the hard work displayed by our small team, demand for storage in the area has grown, and we have become an established storage provider in the Northamptonshire area, known for the high quality and value we offer. To be recognised as one of the best independent self storage facilities just three years on from opening is a big achievement for the team and is cause for celebration, whatever the result on the night.”

Alongside our category, the three remaining categories to be judged are: Manager of the Year, Best Facility – Container Operator, and Best Facility – Major Operator. The winners will be announced on the 6th September at the awards dinner in London, presented by Mark Durden-Smith, best known for presenting a host of ITV shows including, This Morning and I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! Now!

But it doesn’t stop with the UK Awards. The winners of each category will then be automatically entered into the FEDESSA (Federation of European Self Storage Associations) Awards with the winners announced at the conference and trade show in Paris, later in September.

It’s set to be an exciting month! Good luck Squab Daventry – watch this space for news of the result.
