Decluttering Before You Move

We’re a nation of hoarders, aren’t we!

Well, moving house is the perfect time to declutter; after all, there’s no purpose in moving items to your new property that you have no intention of keeping.

If you’re thinking of disposing of clothes, bags and/or shoes, we’re happy to collect these due to our connection with the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (our charity of the year). We can supply you with a charity bag before your move (when you have a box delivery) which we would kindly ask you to fill, so we can take them away on the day of the move. We’ll then deliver these to the charity on your behalf.

If you’re looking to dispose of other items from your home/garden, unfortunately we won’t be able to do so without prior arrangement. We can take items to the tip on your behalf as part of the moving process, but any charges will be passed onto you. Charges are calculated based on weight, so will vary. In addition, there is the cost of hiring our team to take it on your behalf (£18.00 per hour per man and a van rental charge of £35.00.) Further information regarding charges can be found on the Warwick District Council website. 

Don’t worry – it’s not a complicated process but it does take that bit of planning so it’s well worth making disposal arrangements as far in advance as possible. If you’ve got any questions, feel free to get in touch and we’ll be happy to answer them.
