Following on from the announcement made by the Government that England is to enter another lockdown, we would like to inform you of the implications of this announcement on the business and activities here at Squab Group.
Our storage & moving operations will remain open to our business and domestic customers. As was the case in the lockdown’s in 2020 we are able to continue to provide a storage service to all of our customers. Storage and distribution is specifically open to support essential online and offline retail, and we remain key to supporting the supply and logistics chains of businesses who operate within our facilities.
The Government statement last night also stated that you are still able to move home. As our removal services remain integral to the housing, construction and property sectors, we will continue to operate these services with covid-safe protocols in place.
Although our facilities tend to have a low intensity of use, we have carried out thorough risk assessments, and continue to have appropriate social distancing and sanitisation protocols in place. May we take this opportunity to remind all customers to continue to wear a face covering at all times when you are on site.
In conclusion, we will continue to run with normal operating hours. Our office reception will continue to remain staffed, although with increased social distancing policies in place, open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 1pm on Saturday.
We will be adopting ‘low touch’ processes that will require contracts and other paperwork to be signed electronically to reduce close interaction with our members of staff. May we also ask customers to call ahead to arrange appointments to visit reception to ensure your safety, as well as that of our staff.
Our storage access hours remain unchanged at 8am to 8pm 7 days a week. Our storage, van hire, ancillary, and removals services will all continue to operate as normal.
If guidance from the Government does change over time, we will communicate again with you whether the changes impact our ability to operate.
